Giclée - A computerized reproduction technique in which the image and topography are generated from a digital file and printed by a special ink jet printer, using ink, acrylic or oil paints. Giclée printing offers one of the highest degree of accuracy and richness of color available in any reproduction techniques
Lithography - Printing technique using a planographic process in which prints are pulled on a special press from a flat stone or metal surface that has been chemically sensitized so that ink sticks only to the design areas and is repelled by the non-image areas. Lithography was invented in 1798 in Germany by Alois Senefelder.
Serigraphy (Silk-screen) - A printing technique that makes use of a squeegee to force ink directly onto a piece of paper or canvas through a stencil creating an image on a screen of silk or other fine fabric with an impermeable substance. Serigraphy differs from most other printing in that its color areas are paint films rather than printing ink stains.

Artist's Proof (AP) - Print intended for the artist's personal use. It is common practice to reserve approximately ten percent of an edition as artist's proofs, although this figure can be higher. The artist's proof is sometimes referred to by its French épreuve d'artist (abbreviation E.A.). Artist's proofs can be distinguished by the abbreviation AP or E.A., commonly on the lower left of the work.
“Gallery wrapped” is a way of finishing a canvas artwork so it’s ready to hang without needing an additional frame. The canvas is stretched tightly over thick wooden stretcher bars, and the edges of the canvas are wrapped around the sides and stapled on the back.
Stretched - When a canvas is described as stretched, it means the artwork has been pulled tightly over a wooden frame (called stretcher bars) and secured on the back. This process keeps the canvas flat and smooth, ready to hang on the wall or to be placed inside an outer frame.
Hand Embellished - When an artwork is hand embellished, the artist (or a skilled studio artisan) personally adds paint, texture, or other details by hand on top of the printed or finished piece. This gives each artwork unique highlights and depth, making no two pieces exactly alike — even within the same edition.

NOTES: "After the overwhelmingly positive response to "A Mary Tune", I knew I had to paint more artwork that celebrates the music of Disney. My first task was to make a list of all my favorite songs from the Disney collection and on the top of that very long list was, "The Sorcerer"s Apprentice" by Paul Dukas. With previous artworks, when I draw out the music, I usually transcribe the chorus which features the melodies, harmonies, and memorable lyrics all at the same time. For this piece, since the timing of music and art is so important in Fantasia, I decided I would transcribe the exact music to the exact moment of the film when Mickey is on top of the mountain. For the silhouette, there"s nothing more iconic than the Sorcerer"s hat which framed the scene of Mickey atop the mountain perfectly. I"ve been playing music all my life, since my father taught me how to play the piano to playing alto saxophone for school band, to playing electric guitar in a punk rock band after school. As both an artist and musician, it"s fulfilling to be able to bring both worlds together and paint works of art that celebrate music. Disney has such an incredible collection of music; expect many more musical works to come!".

Now a seasoned veteran in the art world, Tim Rogerson casts his artwork with a very evident energy and passion. Inspired by the works of Edgar Degas and Malcolm Liepke, the North Carolina native has embarked on an artistic journey that has taken him from Degas to Disney to darling of the industry. Born in Kissimmee, FL, Mr. Rogerson was forced to move with his family to North Carolina at the age of four because of family health concerns. His father, who at the time, was employed by Walt Disney World as Show Director in charge of managing and maintaining all of the performances in the park, made every day a magical adventure for the future artist, even though they no longer had the safety umbrella of Disney. Mr. Rogerson grew up living the everyday life of a kid, playing outside and “hanging out†with friends, however, the artistic urge to create was always present, compelling him to apply the pictures and images in his head to paper and canvas. Every child has a dream. For Mr. Rogerson, it was to be an artist as well as satisfying his desire to return to his home-state; back to the magical kingdom from which he came. Of course being surrounded by the whimsical images of Disney characters, even after his family moved to North Carolina; his father was an avid Disney collector and supporter, didn’t help curb his appetite for the Sunshine State. However, it was these images that helped form some of Mr. Rogerson’s style, which has begun to earn him critical acclaim. Fulfilling his dream of returning to Florida, Mr. Rogerson was accepted as a student at the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, majoring in Illustration. “I was a very traditional art student and explored all works; from the old masters to modern art,†says the artist. “My influences include Degas and John Singer Sargent; with his perfect, confident brushstrokes…their work has allowed me to push the envelope with my own abstraction of life.†Using the medium of oil paints, Mr. Rogerson focuses on capturing people in social settings, “My work will always evolve, becoming more complex and detailed,†says Mr. Rogerson. While studying at the Ringling School, Mr. Rogerson gained the reputation as an upcoming artist and influence in his own right. His unique style was recognized when he was awarded the 2003 Best Painter Award from Ringling, followed by 2003 and 2004 Best of Ringling Award. One of his recognized works was an emotionally powerful portrait of “Mr. Lincoln.†Since graduating from Ringling in 2004, Mr. Rogerson has contributed his artistic abilities to Disney and SS Designs in Florida. Currently, Mr. Rogerson is taking the art world by storm with his whimsical imagery for Disney Fine Art and this summer’s launch of Rogerson’s Cosmopolitan POP: A Series of Paintings About Everyday Life and the Games People Play; a series of collections of works that showcase the lighterside of life. “I want my paintings to celebrate life and stay fresh . . . I try to stay away from the basic routine and technique because my joy for painting comes from the challenge of creating something entirely new,†says the artist about Cosmopolitan POP. In preview, this series has already won critical acclaim by the trade and his peers. Tim Rogerson’s success had come in the form of an official title. Named an Official Artist of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Winter Team, Rogerson took the POP world by surprise with his colorful and impacting style. Tim Rogerson obtained this designation by working with An Official Licensee of the U.S. Olympic Committee, Fine Art Ltd. Rogerson’s piece titled “US Olympic Winter Team 2006†was released as both a limited edition giclée in an edition of 250 and an open edition poster. His contribution helped support the U.S. Olympic Winter Team. “As my personal style is emerging and I break down the composition into simple shapes, with each shape having its own palette – it’s a jigsaw puzzle of color to form an image,†~ Tim Rogerson.
