Giclée - A computerized reproduction technique in which the image and topography are generated from a digital file and printed by a special ink jet printer, using ink, acrylic or oil paints. Giclée printing offers one of the highest degree of accuracy and richness of color available in any reproduction techniques
Lithography - Printing technique using a planographic process in which prints are pulled on a special press from a flat stone or metal surface that has been chemically sensitized so that ink sticks only to the design areas and is repelled by the non-image areas. Lithography was invented in 1798 in Germany by Alois Senefelder.
Serigraphy (Silk-screen) - A printing technique that makes use of a squeegee to force ink directly onto a piece of paper or canvas through a stencil creating an image on a screen of silk or other fine fabric with an impermeable substance. Serigraphy differs from most other printing in that its color areas are paint films rather than printing ink stains.

Artist's Proof (AP) - Print intended for the artist's personal use. It is common practice to reserve approximately ten percent of an edition as artist's proofs, although this figure can be higher. The artist's proof is sometimes referred to by its French épreuve d'artist (abbreviation E.A.). Artist's proofs can be distinguished by the abbreviation AP or E.A., commonly on the lower left of the work.
“Gallery wrapped” is a way of finishing a canvas artwork so it’s ready to hang without needing an additional frame. The canvas is stretched tightly over thick wooden stretcher bars, and the edges of the canvas are wrapped around the sides and stapled on the back.
Stretched - When a canvas is described as stretched, it means the artwork has been pulled tightly over a wooden frame (called stretcher bars) and secured on the back. This process keeps the canvas flat and smooth, ready to hang on the wall or to be placed inside an outer frame.
Hand Embellished - When an artwork is hand embellished, the artist (or a skilled studio artisan) personally adds paint, texture, or other details by hand on top of the printed or finished piece. This gives each artwork unique highlights and depth, making no two pieces exactly alike — even within the same edition.

Jim Lee is a legendary comic book artist and publisher, known for his dynamic comic art and groundbreaking work at Marvel, DC Comics, and Image Comics. His superhero artwork and graphic novel illustrations have left a lasting impact on the industry, making him one of the most influential artists in modern comic history.

Jim Lee, a world-renowned comic book artist, writer, editor and publisher, is now currently the Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment (DCE) alongside Dan DiDio. Known for his incredibly detailed and dynamic artistic style, Lee is one of the most revered and respected artists in American comics. A veritable legend in the industry, he has received numerous accolades and recognition for his work, including the Harvey Special Award for New Talent in 1990, the Inkpot Award in 1992, and the Wizard Fan Award in 1996, 2002 and 2003. Prior to his current post at DCE, Lee served as Editorial Director, where he oversaw WildStorm Studios and was also the artist for many of DC Comics' bestselling comic books and graphic novels, including ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER, BATMAN: HUSH, and SUPERMAN: FOR TOMORROW. He also serves as the Executive Creative Director for the DC Universe Online (DCUO) massively multiplayer action game from Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). Jim Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1964 but moved with his family to St. Louis, Missouri when he was young. After graduating cum laude with a BA in Psychology from Princeton University in 1986, he started his professional career at Marvel Comics where his work on the X-Men continues to hold the all-time sales record for single-issue sales at an incredible 8 million copies sold in one month. In 1992, he started his own production company, WildStorm Productions, and co-founded Image Comics, an independent comics company that quickly grew to become the third largest North American publisher. Two of his creations, WILDCATS and GEN 13, saw life beyond comics as a CBS Saturday morning cartoon and as a DTV animated movie distributed by Disney, respectively. In 1998, DC Comics purchased WildStorm Productions and Lee left Image Comics to join the DC Entertainment creative team. In 2010, Titan Books released the 300-page artbook of Jim Lee s DC Comics work titled ICONS: THE DC & WILDSTORM ART OF JIM LEE. In 2011, Lee was integral in the launch of DC Entertainment s NEW 52 initiative, designing the new, more contemporary costumes for some of the DC universe s most iconic characters, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
