Winged Beauty Woman. Sculptor Francisco Polope. Limited Edition 750 pcs. Base Included. - 01001956
NOTES: Winged Beauty Woman. Limited edition, gloss finish porcelain sculpture of a woman with beautiful white wings, embellished with blue and white enamel. Half woman, half goddess, the protagonist of this piece, inspired by ancient mythology, offers us a beautiful and powerful representation of femininity. With a blend of sensuality and mystical force, this High Porcelain limited edition refers us to that space reserved in the past for magic and freedom, the feminine principles of the exaltation of life, of which the art of ancient civilizations has left us testimony. The colour and decoration of the piece are inspired by the majestic plumage of the peacock, with the implementation of various techniques from enamels in varying shades of green, blue and ochre, to the use of coloured glazes and metallic lustre. The complex, brilliant interplay of tones and the colour palette is heightened with aged golden lustre, which reinforces the sense of nobility and solemnity inspired by the figure.. Lladro was founded in 1953 when Juan, Jose, and Vicente, three brothers born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent, formed a small family company in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception. The creative team started out by adapting styles from past eras, but it was not long before certain characteristics appeared that would soon shape what was to become the unique Lladro style.
