NOTES: The Young at Heart- This painting was inspired by one of my favorite choirs in church. This group of seniors led the attention of the audience to look past their age and physical limitations. Instead the focus was on the work God placed before them. Music theory, as we know it, was not part of the critique as they shouted unto the Lord and made a joyful NOISE! They were living proof that although the body will grow old, there is a Way to remain Young At Heart. This painting highlights techniques such as contour line, contrast, and planar analysis to create layers of rhythms and repetitions through the picture plain. .
