NOTES: Equinus. The Animalia collection opens with Taurus and Equinus, two creations
inspired by animals which are symbols of freedom, courage and nobility.
Both creations recreate in great detail the undeniable magnetism of
these majestic creatures that remind us that we form part of a larger
incredible world. Taurus and Equinus capture the beauty of the animal
kingdom and defend the value of their existence.
At once realist and stylized, these representations are an example of the
detailed prior anatomical study undertaken by our artists and the
precision of the modelling.
Busts with great expressive force and decorative potential thanks to the
contrast between the monochrome matte porcelain and the decoration
with golden luster of the mane and horns.

Lladro bio
Lladro was founded in 1953 when Juan, Jose, and Vicente, three brothers born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent, formed a small family company in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception. The creative team started out by adapting styles from past eras, but it was not long before certain characteristics appeared that would soon shape what was to become the unique Lladro style.
