The figure’s posture, hands resting on belt and holster, reads as steadiness; his face, quietly self-possessed, becomes the work’s anchor. Brent Flory surrounds that central figure with a warm, sunlit palette: burnished ochres on the chaps and hat, a deep plum shirt, and a vivid turquoise bandana that brightens the composition and draws the eye to the face. Decorative, almost poster-like pink scrollwork frames the scene and the word “COWBOYS” above gently reminds us of the genre’s iconography while the distressed turquoise and rust background suggests weather, travel, and time. When not creating art, Brent manages a ranch in Utah with his family, which inspires his paintings and reflects his passion for preserving the legacy of Western art.
