SHERI_GREVES_NEILSON
Sheri Greves-Neilson has been a professional artist for more than 20 years. Throughout those years she has won many awards for her drawings and paintings. Her favorite medium is pencil. She also works in oil. Sheri's work has appeared on the cover of Western Horseman ( July 2002), and in such magazines as Art of the West, American Artist, and Equus. Her art was included in the "Colored Pencil 4" book published by the Colored Pencil Society of America. Veterinarian/author David Carlton and publisher Bridgeline Press chose Sheri's work for the covers of his books of memoirs . She has exhibited at the Tucson Museum of Art, the Phippen Museum in Prescott,Az., the Cattle Raisers Museum in Fort Worth, TX., and the Pioneer Museum in Paso Robles, Ca. Her shows include the Cheyenne Frontier Days Art Show in Cheyenne, Wy., Cowgirl Up! in Wickenburg, Az., the Night of Artists in San Antonio, Tx., the Peppertree Ranch Western Art Show in Santa Ynez, Ca., and the WRCA Art Show in Amarillo, TX. Sheri has also exhibited at the Coors Invitational in Denver, Co., the Mountain Oyster Show in Tucson, Az., and the George Phippen Memorial Show in Prescott, Az. She has been a juror for the California State Fair art competition, the Western States Horse Expo and the Draft Horse Classic art show in Grass Valley, Ca. The best part of her job is gathering the material she uses to create her art. Every year she goes on a 60 mile cattle drive in central California, and travels to her friend's ranches for branding and other ranch activities. Her home is a small ranch in northern California, where she lives with her husband, David, horses, miniature donkeys, cats, and dogs. Sheri's work is handled by Artistically Yours Gallery in Fallon, NV., Judith Hale Gallery in Los Olivos, Ca., Chablis Gallery in Placerville, Ca., Austin Galleries in Austin, Tx., and Toh-atin Publishing in Durango, Co.
