About The Artist :
Marie Buchfink was born in Muskegon, Michigan; graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. Degree in Fine Arts and Art History. Marie Buchfink received her teaching degree at Ohio Northern University and acquired post graduate work at Maryville College, St. Louis, Missouri; Delta College, Saginaw, Michigan; and Des Moines Area Community College, Des Moines, Iowa. Marie Buchfink began painting full time after a successful teaching career as an art instructor in the Ohio school system. Marie Buchfink has exhibited her work throughout the Midwest and the Southwestern United States, winning numerous museum awards and exhibiting in galleries and one man shows. Marie Buchfink paintings have been collected by many major companies, private individuals and museums. The spirituality expressed in Marie Buchfink artwork sets her apart form most realistic artists in that it expresses her deep concern for man’s humanity towards man and all forms of nature. Marie Buchfink goal is to touch the sensitivity of those who view my work, and to help bring awareness of spiritual worth in all of God’s creation.
