The Gallery's Perspective
A sense of busy, good-natured industry fills this snowy glade: Santa stands centrally, surrounded by elves, a festive train, and woodland helpers who are all quietly at work preparing Christmas trees for their journey south. The scene feels lived-in and storybook—tucked houses, a garlanded tree topped with a glowing star, gingerbread figures, and a reindeer pulling a sleigh loaded with a freshly cut tree create a comforting parade of familiar holiday details. Zac Kinkade’s palette—cool blues and soft mauves for the snow and distant mountains, warmed by red and green accents—gives the piece a gentle twilight glow that reads as both crisp and cozy. Small, joyful vignettes (an elf by a stream, a busy workshop doorway, train cars at rest) reward a closer look while the overall composition keeps the mood merry and reassuring. It’s the kind of picture that brings a narrative warmth to a room without ever losing its festive charm.

Image Notes To those who love Christmas magic, there is nothing so treasured as a visit to the North Pole. And for those merry souls who have followed my work over the years, you all know there are many enchanted parts to that holiday kingdom. We visited Tinsel Town and the mischievous elves that live there. We have also shivered through the Snowman Village on this artic tour and found our frosty friends live very much like we do ourselves. And now, we arrive at the Christmas Tree Forest where every home’s glorious yule tide center piece is grown fully decorated and ready to be flown down south to deserving families. In this doing, Woodland creatures gather to help Santa and his elves in their tree delivery preparations while a festive train pulls to a rest, bringing additional workers and supplies to the effort. As is often sung in a favorite carol, “It is the most wonderful time of the year.” And so, it is. Thank you all for coming with me on this wintery adventure in art and I look forward to another visit next year.

Zachary Thomas Kinkade, Thomas Kinkade’s nephew, was born in 1991 and has been passionate about art his entire life. At the age of 11, Zachary began entering and winning art competitions and shows and has since gained regional, national and international recognition for his work.
Following in his uncle’s footsteps and in service of his own life as an artist, Zac attended the internationally known Art Center School of Design in Pasadena California. Zac has taken a position as a publishing artist for Art Brand Studios and is rapidly starting his own legacy with pencil and brush.
