The Gallery's Perspective
There’s an immediate sense of welcome in this image — a figure steps forward with arms open and a gentle, assured smile that feels like an invitation rather than a proclamation. The warm, radiant light behind him gives the composition a soft halo effect, while energetic, painterly strokes in the background create motion and a feeling of arrival. The white robe and the warm red cloak form a comforting color contrast that balances purity with human warmth. Faces and hands are rendered with approachable realism, so the emotional expression reads clearly: calm, kind, and inviting. Whether you come to it for quiet reassurance or as a focal point that brings warmth to a room, the work’s blend of luminous light and tender gesture makes its presence quietly consoling and hopeful.
The Artwork
About Come and See
I try to imagine what that day will be like, the day when we finally get to see Christ's face. I imagine that He will greet us like a family member would, full of warmth and love. 3 Nephi 11:14 14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole dearth, and have been slain for the sins of the world. Digital Artwork created with Midjourney and Photoshop. Created 2023.
