Kokoo Days Of Reflection
$550.00
There’s a quiet dignity in this figure — a slender, upright woman carrying bundled sticks across her back, her posture calm and purposeful. The elongated silhouette and the long, columnar skirt give her a statuesque presence, while the careful beaded neck rings, bracelets, and narrow necklace lend tactile detail that feels lovingly observed. Warm bronze tones and subtle highlights catch the raised planes of her face and the gentle folds of her garment, creating a mild, evening glow that matches the story of returning home at twilight. The bundle of wood behind her provides a grounded counterpoint to the vertical line of her body, and the small carved beads along the front seam add a human, handmade touch. Overall the piece reads as a tribute to resilience and everyday grace — a reserve of quiet strength that can bring calm and character to a room without shouting for attention.
The Artwork
Rare Beauty - Adimu Nights on the Savannah can be cold, but the sticks that I am bringing back to our engang (enclosure) will make a good fire to keep us all safe and warm tonight. I know that as I walk with my head held high and my burden on my back, I attract many admiring glances from the warriors, but I only have eyes for one and I hope that someday we shall marry.
