About Statue of Liberty - 250th Anniversary Edition Sculpture. Limited Edition

To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, celebrated in 2026, we present this limited edition of 250 units. The sculpture reimagines one of the world’s great universal icons in satin-finished porcelain: The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom, hope and welcome since the late nineteenth century.Originally conceived as a gift from France to the United States, the statue was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, with its internal iron structure engineered by Gustave Eiffel. After being built in France, it was shipped in pieces to New York and assembled on what is now Liberty Island. Our creation captures the monument’s most recognizable elements: the draped tunic, the seven-point crown, and the tablet bearing the inscription JULY IV MDCCLXXVI, faithfully interpreted from the original. The only touch of color appears in the torch flame, decorated in an orange tone that brings a contemporary accent to the composition. The rest of the piece, crafted in white satin porcelain, preserves the calm presence and purity of line that define this edition.A special creation that forms part of the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States, honoring the enduring relevance of a symbol that continues to represent freedom and openness to the world.

Lladro was founded in 1953 when Juan, Jose, and Vicente, three brothers born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent, formed a small family company in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception. The creative team started out by adapting styles from past eras, but it was not long before certain characteristics appeared that would soon shape what was to become the unique Lladro style.
