Pursued Deer. Limited edition hunted deer sculpture depicts a group of deer and dogs in motion, in brown gloss finish porcelain. The classic theme of hunting scenes allows artists of the Lladró High Porcelain workshop to demonstrate their artistry with this vibrant limited edition filled with strength and dynamism. It is the height of the hunt and the hunters and hunted now move with feverish agility in the bushes, in an elegant upward composition where the deer appear to rise above the earth in their flight. The piece follows an ancient thematic tradition which has produced great masterpieces of painting and the other arts. The expressions of the animals have been approached with great realism and give excitement to the work. The capture of instantaneous motion, together with sophisticated hues, constitute the charm of this creation.

Lladro was founded in 1953 when Juan, Jose, and Vicente, three brothers born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent, formed a small family company in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception.
The creative team started out by adapting styles from past eras, but it was not long before certain characteristics appeared that would soon shape what was to become the unique Lladro style.
