Wrigley Field, 2016
$4,850.00
A cheerful street-side scene you can almost step into, with sun-dappled façades, flower-filled window boxes and the friendly clutter of neighborhood shops. The composition pairs a vibrant cobalt-blue wine-and-cheese storefront with a warm burgundy charcuterie next door; their painted signs, striped awning and hand-lettered menus give the image a lively, human scale. Small touches — two bicycles leaning against the curb, petals scattered across the wet pavement, and the playful painted figure above the shutters — create a sense of everyday ritual and gentle motion. Light filters through new leaves, casting mottled shadows that soften the architectural details and make the scene feel lived-in rather than staged. For anyone who loves European street life, Kondakova’s serigraph offers a sunny, intimate moment of conviviality and color that brightens a room without shouting for attention.
