Wrigley Field, 2016

A late-evening light gives this Parisian street a feeling of warm togetherness—chairs still pulled out, small candles glowing on café tables, and a single moon hanging over the buildings. The view is intimate yet cinematic: the ornate clock and the Café sign in the foreground feel close enough to touch, while the columned monument and string lights draw the eye down the cobbled avenue. Liudmila Kondakova’s palette mixes deep navy night sky with rich golds and saturated purples and reds, which makes the scene feel theatrical and inviting rather than cold. Small details—the patterned bistro chairs, the menu board, a parked scooter and bicycle—suggest human presence without showing any people, leaving a gentle sense of expectation or recent company. Overall it’s a comfortable, story-filled street scene that brings the warmth and ritual of evening cafés into your room.
