Wrigley Field, 2016

Warm and quietly lively, this serigraph feels like a pause on a Paris street where small pleasures gather. The turquoise storefront and weathered red sign reading "Confiserie" give the scene a cheerful, nostalgic center; the glass panes catch soft reflections and offer glimpses of sweets and a solitary bench beyond, suggesting a moment of stillness inside a bustling city. A blue bicycle leaned against the iron railing and the old-fashioned lamp post add human scale and a sense of everyday ritual, while the chipped paint, cracked plaster, and pasted posters lend texture and age that feel affectionate rather than neglected. The crisp color contrasts — teal against ochre and warm stone — brighten the composition without losing the intimacy of a narrow sidewalk view. It's the kind of picture that brings a quiet, comforting story into a room: familiar, modestly charming, and built from small details that feel like memories.
