Living Water Gallery Wrap
$374.00
She sits with a quiet, attentive openness—hands lightly crossed at her chest, bare feet resting on warm earth—caught in a moment that feels both ordinary and touched by something larger. The painting’s soft light bathes her face and the worn stone of the well, creating a gentle contrast between the intimate foreground and the rolling, sunlit landscape beyond. Earth tones and muted greens lend a sense of calm and humility, while the deeper red of her head covering and the blue of her skirt give the figure a subtle, dignified presence. Small details—the clay jars, the vine curling over the wall, the thoughtful tilt of her head—make the scene feel lived-in and sincere rather than staged. Overall, the image offers a quiet pause: a contemplative human moment framed by natural beauty that suggests solace, receptivity, and the possibility of refreshment without spelling out a single doctrine.
The Artwork
John 4:14 But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. **** In this account, we hear Christ bear witness to the woman at the well that He is the way to exaltation. Just as physical water sustains and relieves our thirst, the water that Christ gives us, the gospel, gives relief to our souls, heals our wounds, and makes our burdens light. Christ stands before not just the woman, but all mankind, and testifies that He is the Son of God. If we would drink of the truths of the gospel, seek after Him, and do His will, we will thirst no more, and those truths will lift us up unto eternal life with our Father in Heaven.
