4. Charles Wysocki Hickoryhaven Canal MASTERWORK ANNIVERSARY EDITION   $1250.00 No one created a warmer winter scene than Charles Wysocki with his carefree and fantastic days as captured with a child’s eyes. Unlike "Salty Witch Bay," "Hickoryhaven Canal" has real roots in Wysocki’s past. The memory was compliments of an uncle Charles who would visit a cabin on the lake in upper Michigan, an area called Houghton Lake. When the snow fell and a canal behind the cabin froze over, the community would embrace the opportunity to enjoy winter at its finest. “Skating on the canal,” Charles recalled, “became a party from early morning until nightfall. People sang, played instruments, built fires, sold goodies and were obviously having a good time.” It was the perfect place to pass happy hours on a cold winter’s day. Winter is a time of warm and pleasant memories and our Anniversary Editions of "Hickoryhaven Canal" will provide them year ‘round. Brilliant and dazzling at 30" by 40," our Masterwork™ Edition matches the size of the original painting. Our traditional Fine Art Edition of 24" x 18" will fit a smaller space just right. "Hickoryhaven Canal" is that perfect spot that exists in everyone’s imagination bought to life on canvas by Charles Wysocki.

6. Charles Wysocki Daddy´s Coming Home ANNIVERSARY EDITION   $495.00 0 “In my paintings, I want to hit every emotion I can - from the sublime to the silly,” Charles Wysocki said. The love of life, with all its wit and wisdom, poetry and emotion, sights and sensations, is captured in his paintings. “There is a simple message in my work,” Wysocki said, “and it is love.” "Daddy’s Coming Home" tells a universal, yet deeply intimate and emotional story. We all have shared the same feeling, whether it is at the end of the day, the end of a business trip or even deployment overseas: the anticipation of seeing your father again. “I am a devout admirer of the artist Winslow Homer,” said the artist. “He has always been an inspiration to me. He did a painting titled 'Dad’s Coming.' It featured a mother holding a baby and a young lad sitting on a small boat - all at water’s edge, looking out to sea. I was so moved by this work that I decided to do my own version of the same story.”

8. Charles Wysocki Rockland Breakwater Light ANNIVERSARY EDITION   $395.00 0 The first in Charles Wysocki’s Sentinels of the Sea series, this painting was inspired by the Rockland Breakwater lighthouse in Maine. Charles liked to tell stories in his paintings and along the New England seacoast he found them everywhere, from whaling museums to captain’s houses to 19th century light-houses. A member of the U.S. Lighthouse Society, Charles loved to paint both real and imagined New England lighthouses. "They are unique expressions of human creativity," said the artist. “Physically, they represent triumphant solutions to complex engineering problems. Emotionally, they conjure peril, rescue and poetry." Start your Sentinels of the Sea lighthouse collection with "Rockland Breakwater Light" where warmth glows from every window and a palpable sense of adventure is in the air as you leave your onshore worries behind knowing that this grand dame will watch over you.

11. Charles Wysocki Another Year at Sea ANNIVERSARY EDITION   $395.00 Charles Wysocki was a masterful storyteller and everything he has put into this painting contributes to the heartfelt story of separation from family and home. The work draws us upward, our eyes ascend the staircase, lingering on the flowers which she has just picked in the garden, up to the opened envelope on the stairs and finally the letter held loosely in her hand. The sad news has come that her beloved captain has been detained "Another Year at Sea." We know in our hearts that she will not soon see white sails on the dark and boundless horizon outside her window. "Another Year at Sea" marked one of Wysocki’s own ports of call on his artistic voyage. Broadening his technique and vision, he increasingly used perspective, realism and intensity of color to evoke an unforgettable mood. The theme is timeless as loved ones forever travel, and others are left behind, whether through work, war or adventure.
