Cinderella & Prince Royal Introduction. UPDATE AS OF 1/21/11: "As the first shipments of the Walt Disney Classics Collection sculpture Cinderella and Prince Charming: Royal Introduction have started to arrive an error has been brought to our attention. This sculpture was intended to have both a 60th Anniversary Backstamp (commemorating the film's anniversary) and a Numbered Limited Edition 750 mark. The sculpture does have the Anniversary Backstamp but is missing the Edition Box where the pieces would ordinarily be hand-numbered as they are produced. Since the sculptures have dispersed worldwide, the pieces and accompanying certificates can not be numbered. Instead, the sculpture will be reclassified as a Limited Edition 750 rather than a Numbered Limited Edition 750. We will be updating Facts & Firsts for 2011 to correct the description from a Numbered Limited Edition to its current status as a Limited Edition 750."

Arrayed in her miraculous, luminous gown,Cinderella never looked so radiant as the aptly named Prince Charming kisses the hand of the surprised scullery maid in disguise. Walt Disney had originally intended to spotlight the Prince in a lighthearted introductory sequence, but still this royal romancer shines in the Ball sequence as the guest of honor charmingly sweeps the mystery guest off her feet.
This exquisite sculpture is plussed with metallic and opalescent paint and real pearl earrings on Cinderella.

Artist Bio: WALT DISNEY CLASSICS FIGURINES - The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia's Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
