The Magic Never Ends, by D. Morgan |
| Ne’Qwa, in the Mandarin language, is the term for this centuries-old artistic tradition of reverse painting on the inside of glass. This technique creates a brilliance and luster that is not attainable with standard painting methods. Through a small opening in each ornament, the artist uses delicate brush strokes to hand-paint on the inside of mouth-blown glass. From outlining to shading to color application, all work is painstakingly done in freehand. The Art work was originally created by D. Morgan |

| Artist Bio: D. Morgan cannot remember a time when she did not yearn to be an artist. "I have no memory of ever wanting to be anything else", she says. "For years, I've had this burning desire to paint, and today I'm even more fired up about my painting career."
Morgan's style and personality are a delightful combination of both her parents. A strong Southern woman raised in Georgia, she lovingly refers to her parents as 'Daddy' and 'Mother'. "I have this part of me that is my mother, a city girl. Mother is phenomenal! She is alive and vibrant, and continues to drive and prepare meals for herself."
Morgan says her father "had the biggest heart of any human being I've ever known. He had the patience of Job. Daddy was like a father and grandfather to me, because, like a grandparent, he explained things to me, and he never judged, nor was quick to criticize".
Patiently, Morgan's father tutored her in the wonders of Mother Nature. "My daddy had a warm, gentle heart toward all of God's creatures. This is a man who would get bread crumbs and sprinkle them outside to feed the ants!"
While feeding these living creatures, Morgan's father also used the experience as a learning lesson for his only child. "He'd show me how the ants operated. At first, there were no ants, just an anthill. Then, the 'scout' ant would come out of the anthill to take a look and go back to tell the whole brood. Finally, all the other ants came, picking up bread crumbs five or six times their size and taking them back into the anthill." These early lessons deeply affected Morgan. "I think that just about everything Daddy stood for and everything he taught me about love of family, home and creatures are such a part of me. As a result, I've always felt safe, secure, loved and wanted."
