Artist Bio: 1937-1999 Peter Apsit was an artist for more than 25 years. His childhood interest in sculpting led to his decision to enter the University of Southern California as an art major in the early 1960’s. He made his early career by sculpting fountains and free-lance designs. There were prominent giftware companies who now number his creations among their product lines. Apsit was an artist who gathered his inspiration from real life, studying his subjects carefully and thoroughly creating intricate detail. His craftsmanship and careful eye to detail can be seen with each sculpture he created. Peter Apsit was a fun-loving person who had many collections which fit his jovial personality and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
