Artist Bio: Jason’s love for western life and art began in his childhood. He grew up on a small farm in Southern Idaho spending his time either riding, training or drawing horses. His western roots and passion for art influenced his decision to pursue art as a profession. He attended Utah State University where he majored in Art Education and Illustration and completed his Bachelors of Fine Art degree in 1995. Although Jason taught for a year and enjoyed it, his desire to devote more time to painting persisted. He decided to pursue art full time while working on a master’s degree. By the time he had earned his Masters of Fine Art degree in 1998, his art career was in full bloom. His work, which can be seen in fine galleries and art shows across the West, has received considerable recognition in national art shows and publications. Jason lives in northern Utah with his wife and three children.
