About The Artist :
Anne Page is an award-winning artist whose work has appeared in a number of juried shows and exhibitions.
A Wyoming native, born and raised in Rawlins, she began her painting career in 1987 and has enjoyed growing success. A self-taught artist, Anne’s western and wildlife images are largely derived from experiences gained while hiking in the Wyoming backcountry. She works primarily in oils and prefers an expressive but photo-realistic style. Using the age old methods of brush application and finger painting, Anne leaves viewers with the impression of a living canvas. Her images are known for their strong, natural lighting with combinations of softly blended transparent washes and vivid opaque colors. The depth and texture of her images are striking and draw viewers into the scene as an omnipresent observer.
