Please read below Frequently asked questions and answers to using our Service.

Q. WHY USE THE COLLECTION SHOP TO SELL MY COLLECTIBLES?

A. The Collection Shop Buy/Sell area was established to provide a structured and safe environment for buyers and sellers of Art & Collectibles to meet on the Web to Sell and Buy Online.

The Collection Shop is also an alternative to auction houses and is much safer.

Buyers can be assured that their purchased item(s) meet the high standards of quality that we adhere to for our own inventory. After each transaction is completed your item is inspected before being shipped to you.

Sellers you can expect a greater return on your item(s) versus using auction houses since Buyers feel more comfortable knowing the fact that their purchase(s) is being inspected by a member of The Collection Shop staff prior to delivery.

Q. WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED IN USING YOUR SERVICE?

A.
For Buyers using our service there are NO FEES.
Sellers pay a 15% finders fee to The Collection Shop (many other brokerage services charge upwards to 25%) once the transaction has been completed. There is NO COST to list your item, only your time.

Q. WHEN DO I GET PAID?

A. Checks are processed and mailed on the 15th and the last day of each month to Sellers. This helps in reducing our administrative costs which allows us to maintain our low Finders Fee.

Q. HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

A. Once your item has been listed potential Buyers will make offers on your item, or they have the option to purchase directly if the price is attractive to them. If an offer is made it is sent to the email address you entered when signing up for the service
. It will include a link that will take you to your account that will show all offers made. It will then show you options to either accept the offer or decline the offer and make a counter offer to the buyer if so desired. This process continues until both parties agree on a price. At that point a Collection Shop representative will contact the Buyer to accept payment information and process the transaction. The Seller is then contacted to arrange shipping of the item to The Collection Shop.

Shipping costs to The Collection Shop are the responsibility of the Seller and the Buyer pays for shipping from The Collection Shop to them.

Provide as much information as possible, (Edition numbers, condition, Retired, etc.) to help in selling your collectible, use the notes field to provide this information. Items not sold after 60 days will be automatically removed from the Seller's Listings. Always try to add an image to your listing as this enhances your listing.
