| Artist Bio: In her unusually sensitive pencil drawings, Sandy Burton specializes in bringing personalities of the west to life. The challenges of attracting the viewer without the benefit of color has helped refine the use of strong contrasts tempered with subtlety. Fascinated with drawing since childhood, this Wyoming native earned her Art degree, ,with a concentration in life drawing, from the University of Wyoming. She seeks compelling faces to paint by attending the Indian Fairs, ,Pow-Wows and Mountain Man Rendezvous, but also finds many of her subjects in the ranching valley where she and her husband live, at the foot of the Snowy Range mountains.
